EECBG Grants

Energy Efficiency & Conservation Block Grant for Cities, Counties and State Projects

Cities & Counties

$4,073,040 was allotted to Nevada cities and $2,321,945 to Nevada counties that were not directly funded by the DOE by using per capita numbers as the formula to determine the amount of funding to be allotted to each jurisdiction. These funds may be used for energy efficiency and energy conservation projects, as well as development of renewable energy systems. The ten largest counties and ten largest cities in Nevada by population were awarded funding directly by the DOE, independent from any NSOE grants, and report directly to the DOE and the Government Accounting Office.
