Grant: SEP ARRA

$9,500,000 was budgeted to provide $441,176 to each of Nevada's 17 school districts to assist with energy efficient lighting, HVAC system energy efficiency upgrades, energy saving window treatments, lighting control systems and renewable energy installations. Larger per capita districts (Washoe and Clark Counties) have received an additional $1 million each in funds.

Projects will strive to meet ARRA SEP goals of annual energy savings of at least 10 MBtu for each $1,000 of total investment. The program will communicate leadership and best practices through a public education campaign and create a partnership between the NSOE, the State's K-12 schools and utilities to implement energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.
