Governor Sisolak names David Bobzien as Director of the Governor's Office of Energy

Carson City, NV - January 15, 2019

Governor Sisolak today announced that David Bobzien will be the new director of the Governor’s Office of Energy in the Sisolak administration.

“I am excited to name David Bobzien as the head of the Governor’s Office of Energy,” said Governor Steve Sisolak. “David’s experience and leadership in the State Legislature and on the Reno City Council will serve the office and the state well. I am excited to work with him as we begin this new chapter in Nevada.”

David Bobzien has served as the At-Large Council Member on the Reno City Council since 2014. Because of his leadership during his time on the City Council, Reno took strong steps towards increasing efficiency in building energy use and reducing the city’s carbon emissions, including becoming the first city in Nevada to join the C40 Compact of Mayors. Prior to his time on the Reno City Council, Bobzien served four terms as a legislator in the Nevada Assembly, representing District 24, where his work included conservation and clean energy efforts.
