GOE provides education and information about performance contracting and guides agencies through the process. Nevada legislation makes performance contracting available to state and local governments to make immediate cost-saving improvements to government-owned buildings through the Nevada Revised Statute (NRS) Chapters 332 and 333A. Performance contracting offers a tremendous opportunity to not only manage energy budgets but to upgrade and modernize facilities, reduce the taxpayer burden of growing government energy budgets, incorporate the use of renewable energy, and create jobs right here in Nevada.
